CONCEPT:
My clients, having grown up in this home with their mother, wanted to pay homage to her by placing the piano at its heart. To make enough space for both sisters and their families to live, a second floor was added and the basement was converted into a full apartment. The use of simple white tiles, and herringbone wood floors bring back memories of their childhood home. Bringing in high-contrast white and black marble gives the kitchen an elegant and sophisticated look, while maintaining that “homey” feel.
