CONCEPT:

The main goals for this project were to open the space by removing raised platforms and creating a direct connection to the private roof. A white oak custom staircase and flooring make for a cohesive flow between spaces. Stainless steel countertops and a tin ceiling add to the understated industrial aesthetic. Two-toned custom cabinetry and a library ladder system accentuate the 18ft ceilings in the main living space. Exposing the original wood joists around skylights makes them a focal point for both bedrooms while providing natural light. Given my client’s desire for a simple yet elegant design, patterned floor tiles and elegant fixtures in the bathroom make a zen space fit for relaxation.
